Our Commitment

CAP Wingman is built with privacy at its core. As a Civil Air Patrol member, you need quick access to forms, references, and training materials. We designed CAP Wingman so your data stays completely under your control.

The short version: We don't collect any data from you. Your forms, documents, and notes stay on your device.

What Data CAP Wingman Stores

CAP Wingman stores the following data:

  • Downloaded forms - CAP forms you download for offline access
  • Reference materials - Regulations, manuals, and guides stored for offline use
  • Training materials - Study guides and training resources
  • Documents - Any documents you store within the app
  • Bookmarks and notes - Your personal annotations and saved items
  • App preferences - Your settings and preferences within the app

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored locally on your device:

  • On your device - All data is stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
  • Offline-first design - CAP Wingman is designed to work without an internet connection

We have no servers. We cannot see, access, or retrieve your data. It belongs entirely to you.

Offline Access

CAP Wingman is designed to work offline. Once you download forms and references, they are stored on your device and available without internet access. This is essential for CAP members who may need documents in the field.

Document Storage

Documents you store in CAP Wingman remain on your device. The app does not upload, transmit, or share your documents with any external service.

What We Do NOT Collect

To be absolutely clear, CAP Wingman does not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, CAPID, or any CAP membership data)
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Location data
  • Any data for advertising purposes
  • Crash reports or diagnostics (unless you explicitly share them with Apple)

No Third-Party Services

CAP Wingman contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks. We don't use Firebase, Mixpanel, Facebook SDK, or any similar services.

No Account Required

CAP Wingman does not require you to create an account. There is no login, no sign-up, and no personal information collection.

No Affiliation

CAP Wingman is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force, or any government entity. It is an independent app created to help CAP members access reference materials.

Data Deletion

Since your data is stored only on your device:

  • Delete individual documents within the app
  • Clear downloaded content through the app's settings
  • Delete the app to remove all data

Children's Privacy

CAP Wingman does not collect any personal information from anyone. The app is safe for CAP Cadets and members of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Our commitment to not collecting your data will never change.
